Founder & Creator of Do Right’s Kids

Roxanne created Do Right’s Kids to help children learn how to safely, respectfully, and confidently interact with dogs.

Through fun lessons, activities, games, and dog-friendly learning, children learn how to respect a dog’s space, recognize important signals, and make safe choices around dogs.

WHY I CREATED DO RIGHT’S KIDS

I created Do Right’s Kids for a very personal reason. As a child, I was bitten twice by two very different dogs and two very different breeds. Those experiences stayed with me and helped me understand how important it is for children to learn how to safely and respectfully interact with dogs.

Throughout my years of training dogs, I have also seen children get bitten by their own dogs, a friend’s dog, or a family member’s dog. These experiences have shown me just how important it is to teach children how to understand dogs, recognize their body language, respect their space, and know when a dog needs to be left alone.

If I can help even one child avoid going through what I experienced—or help prevent a child from being bitten by a dog they know—then I know I am making a difference. My hope is to help children grow up feeling safe, confident, and respectful around dogs.
